To apply for the College JumpStart Scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
1) High school 10th-12th grader, college student or non-traditional student;
2) U.S. citizen or legal resident;
3) Attend or plan to attend an accredited 2-year, 4-year or vocational / trade school in the U.S.
4) Be committed to using education to better your life and that of your family and/or community.

The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition -- financial need is not considered -- that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education.

Monday, April 16, 2012 at 8:44AM While our spring competition just closed, we have opened our fall competition to new applications. The deadline for the fall competition is midnight October 17, 2012. Our application process and eligibility requirements remain the same. In fact, as long as you are elibigible you can enter our current competition even if you already submitted an application for our spring deadline. Good luck to all!

Monday, January 30, 2012 at 12:00PM This year's competition took much longer to judge than previous competitions. In part it was due to the record number of applicants that we received. But it was also due to the extremely high quality of essays that were submitted. Our judges had to read and score each one and that took time. The good news is that we have selected and contacted all winners and posted their names to our winner's page. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who applied. Just a reminder: our spring competition is currently open and we welcome everyone who is eligible to apply.
Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:17AM Happy holidays! A quick note that we have fallen behind in our judging of the fall competition which ended on Oct. 17th. We had hoped to already have winners selected ut our judges still have applications and essays to review. Our goal is to get all winners selected next month. Again, we apologize for the delay we know many of you are anxious to get some results. So are we!
